Vehicle registration is valid for one year, a period which usually begins in the vehicle owner's birth month. (Fleet vehicles owned by a company all use the month of June.) Each time you pass through toll lanes equipped to accept your E-PASS, your toll is electronically deducted from your prepaid account. 5) Register your kids in school. Orange County Public Schools, Osceola County School District, Seminole County Public Schools, Lake County Schools, Private Schools, Valencia Community College, and UCF. 6) Orlando Area Utilities. 7) Florida Homestead Exemption. Every person who has legal or equitable title to real property in the State of Florida and who resides on the property on January 1 and in good faith makes it his or her permanent home is eligible for a homestead exemption. 8) Orlando Mileage Chart.
